I love this Quote
“If you have ever felt like life has cheated you, stand up with me,”.
“If you have ever felt disappointed in life, stand with me.
"If you have ever received a call that changed your life forever, brought you to your knees and took your breath away, look around, we are all in this together, we need each other, we all have a story.”

Asshole Nannies
The nanny state is going after moms.
Mayor Bloomberg is pushing hospitals to hide their baby formula behind locked doors so more new mothers will breast-feed.
Starting Sept. 3, the city will keep tabs on the number of bottles that participating hospitals stock and use — the most restrictive pro-breast-milk program in the nation.
Under the city Health Department’s voluntary Latch On NYC initiative, 27 of the city’s 40 hospitals have also agreed to give up swag bags sporting formula-company logos, toss out formula-branded tchotchkes like lanyards and mugs, and document a medical reason for every bottle that a newborn receives.
While breast-feeding activists applaud the move, bottle-feeding moms are bristling at the latest lactation lecture.

“If they put pressure on me, I would get annoyed,” said Lynn Sidnam, a
Staten Island mother of two formula-fed girls, ages 4 months and 9
years. “It’s for me to choose.”
Under Latch On NYC, new mothers who want formula won’t be denied it,
but hospitals will keep infant formula in out-of-the-way secure
storerooms or in locked boxes like those used to dispense and track
medications.
With each bottle a mother requests and receives, she’ll also get a talking-to. Staffers will explain why she should offer the breast instead.
“It’s the patient’s choice,” said Allison Walsh, of Beth Israel Medical Center. “But it’s our job to educate them on the best option.”
I read this story on FoxNews today and just about threw a fist through my computer!

Is nursing best? Absolutely.
Is it every woman's choice to not nurse, and then NOT get a 'talking to' because of it? ABSOLUTELY!
WOW!
I am SO completely blown away by the fact that anyone thinks that they even remotely have the right to even think this let alone actually implement it. Morons...this Country is going the way of the Moron!
The End....
MORONS!

Our newest edition
December 29th 2011
7lbs 8oz
Blue eyes and perfect brown hair.
After this little KatieRose was born I ended up back in the hospital with a serious infection in my uterus. That was horrible. I'm not even going to joke around. It was Horrible. My fevers reached 103.9 and I was in and out of the ER for two days before I was able to go see my OBGyn and then it was straight to the hospital for IV antibiotics every four hours for the next 48 hours.(Thank you to my Sister in law and Mother in law, Sara and Susan for driving me:):)) I had Cat Scans and ultrasounds because they thought I had a clot in my lung, and thought that they were going to have to do a DNC. Thank GOODNESS they didn't have too.
This little baby that whole first week, before I was admitted back to the hospital, never cried or fussed. She was SO content to be swooned over by her three older siblings. She ate when she was supposed to eat, and slept when she was supposed to sleep. I could never have asked for an easier baby.

Things that I want to be remembered for
1. How much I LOVED my husband
2. That being a mommy to my babies was EVERYTHING to me
3. That I knew the Gospel, regardless of how flawed I was, was true
4. That chocolate was truly the best food creation EVER
5.That I loved my family
6. I want people to remember that my messy house was secondary to playing boardgames with my kids.
7. That my family was everything to me.

Quotes
I love our prophet.
President Monson is amazing.
But If I am being honest, Gordon B Hinckley was my favorite.
People say he was ultimately 'just a man', but to me he was darn near perfect.
I loved his smile and how sweet he was to his wife. But what I loved most were all of his little sayings.
Short and profound.
Just one sentence from him would make me stop in my tracks and make me re-evaluate myself and then want nothing more then to do and be better.
So here are some quotes from my favorite prophet that I love....
“True love is not so much a matter of romance as it is a matter of anxious concern for the well-being of one's companion.”
"You have not failed until you quit trying.”
"Generally speaking, the most miserable people I know are those who are obsessed with themselves; the happiest people I know are those who lose themselves in the service of others...By and large, I have come to see that if we complain about life, it is because we are thinking only of ourselves.”
"If Life Gets Too Hard To Stand, Kneel.”
"In all of living, have much fun and laughter. Life is to be enjoyed, not just endured.”
"It isn't as bad as you sometimes think it is. It all works out. Don't worry. I say that to myself every morning. It all works out in the end. Put your trust in God, and move forward with faith and confidence in the future. The Lord will not forsake us. He will not forsake us. If we will put our trust in Him, if we will pray to Him, if we will live worthy of His blessings, He will hear our prayers.”
"Mediocrity will never do. You are capable of something better.”
"You can be smart and happy or stupid and miserable. . . it's your choice”
"Get on your knees and pray, then get on your feet and work
“Work at our responsibility as parents as if everything in life counted on it.”
“God has brought us together as families to bring to pass His eternal purposes. We are part of this plan in this marriage relationship. let us love and respect and honor one another. We can do it, and we will be the better for it"
"There are four pillars to a happy marriage: respect one another as individuals; (give) soft answers; (practice)financial honesty; (conduct) family prayer.”
"Marriage in its truest sense, is a partnership of equals, with neither exercising dominion over the other, but, rather, with each encouraging and assisting the other in whatever responsibilities and aspirations he or she might have."
Those are just a few. I love them.

Handsome, really truly, makes my stomach do flips handsome.
Joe has this way of smiling at me that makes me forget if he had just done something that made me mad.
He smells good too.

Family man, Joe loves his dad, mom, sisters, brother. Nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, some of his In Laws, Cousins, me and our kids.
And he would do anything for anyone of us.
I remember when I first met Joe's whole family and how I watched him that night help his dad organize and pay his bills.
I was already irreversibly in love with Joe at that point, but I remember being even more attracted to him, and perfectly content with what my future was going to be with him as I saw how kind and loving he was.
I really do, I remember smiling like an idiot to myself, as I in the middle of Joe's 5 sisters, realizing how lucky I was that I got this man.

Smart, I love talking to Joe.
He knows what seems like 'everything'.
He knows about every answer in any Trivial Pursuit game.
He has memorized every card in Monopoly, and he remembers things from when he was
1 year old.
You can ask him just about anything about computers, and to watch him count cards when he plays poker makes not only your jaw drop but also the pit bosses.
I learn a lot when I talk to Joe. Like how to critically think things that would usually give me anxiety. What an IP address is and what time of year the Perseids fall, AND why they are called the Perseids. ETC, ETC, ETC... Seriously there is a lot more.

Honesty, sometimes it's hard to hear.
Sometimes it is a comfort to know.
Either way, I am grateful for to have a husband and best friend that tells me the truth
whether it be about how my butt looks in my jeans to how much he loves me.

Amazing dad, I am fascinated by every time I see my kids with their daddy.
They... love... him! And he LOVES them.
Joe makes our kids laugh hysterically, and makes each feel so special.
He also has the patience of Job when it comes to raising our kids.
I tell our kids often how good of a man their daddy is, but I really don't think that I have too. By the kind of relationship that I see Joe have with each of our babies, I think our kids already know how good they have it.
It makes me truly happy when I see his face light up when one of our kids walk in the room. It just reiterates something that I have known for years...
that I married the right man.

Funny, Joe has a sense of humor that either goes right over most peoples heads, or makes them stop...jaw drop...and then bust up laughing. LOL. His totally dry and, at times, shocking sense of humor cracks me up constantly.

What to say about Joe after 13 years...
there really is a list.
You are amazing beyond what you think you are. (If that makes sense.) As a husband, father, my best friend and as a person.
You're still the man that I want to come home too. Play boardgames with. Laugh hysterically with. Wake up next too, go on a date with (Even if it is only 'date night' every 9 months.) and spend forever with.
I love you Joe!!
Through13 years of...everything I have been grateful, especially recently, for every time you say 'I love you'. Kiss me and smack me on the butt.
The top 11 things about you that I love...
ONE
Patience... thanks for waiting until year 13 for me to get it right.

Me at 34 years old... and I do mean 'OLD'

I'm dorky, forgetful, opinionated, and love talking. I love my family more than anything and hate entitled people. I have dreams of being a fashion designer and a horse whisperer and a size 6. I am Mormon and sometimes wish that garments came in different colors. I love watching movies with my husband and hanging out with my kids every chance that I have. I love boardgames, chocolate, singing WAY TOO loud in the car to music! And car rides to no where. I have never had a professional massage and secretly would love to have dread locks with pink tips. And a huge tattoo covering my left shoulder and arm. I believe that Jesus is my personal savior and would LOVE to sit with him and ask a TON of questions! I am short both in stature and patience, when told what to do, and my favorite types of movies are comedies. I drive way too fast and wish that I had a super power...like reading peoples minds and flying. I love talking to my husband about anything because he is so smart I learn something new every time. I love talking to my kids because they have such an innocent view of the world. I wish that I had a hundred million dollars to decorate my house like RC Willey and I LOVE sappy cards. I never thought that I would have kids and am so HAPPY that my life turned out to be filled with 4 babies and husband, a mortgage and stretch marks. I secretly would LOVE to go to Comic Con and dress up like a way hot version of Cat woman or the chick from the song 'Do you want to date my avatar'(Joe, you know what I'm talking about). My family is everything and if I had nothing else in the world except them, I would still be the HAPPIEST woman in the world.

Two of the most important things that I have learned
1.Sometimes you have to walk through shit to find the better you on the other side of that said shit. No one can do it for you. And sometimes the stress and sadness can be suffocating.
But you can either hold on to what you know, and are safe with so tight that it just begins to slip, like sand, through your desperate fingers,
or you can grow a pair of balls
and
be strong in the face of the unknown.
Brave in the moment when you accept that some things are never going to be the same again,
remorseful when you're the one who has caused the damage
forgiving when someone else damages you
and then trust again when you really love the person that just walked through their own shit too.
Cause lets face it we are all imperfect.
But I think its pretty amazing when we can look at another person,
with all of their imperfections and love them so perfectly.
2.I have also learned that what you want and what is really going to happen are two completely different things entirely.
Ohhhhh, wait....there is a third thing....
3.I have also learned that as we each stand knee deep in our own said shit that we can actually be grateful for all of it.
Weird, I know.
I will stop swearing now.
P.S. There is actually a lot more that I have learned, but I will save those for another day. And don't worry, I will figure out a different swear word to use then.
