14 YEARS...Circa 03/26/1999

Thank you for 14 years Joe.
Thank you for being an AMAZING DADDY!!
Thank you for totally standing by while I figured crap out.
Thank you for smacking me on the butt and lifting me up to hug me.
Thank you for asking me about my day every night, and thanking me for the things that I do.
Thank you for the amazing food that you cook and for the jokes
that you crack that absolutely shock and amuse me!!
Thank you for changing the oil and changing
the brakes. Thank you for telling me
that you love me.

Thank you for 14 years Joe.
Thank you for worrying about me and our kids.
Thank you for knowing that I hate lemon pepper chicken and always
putting less flavoring on my pieces. Thank you for not leaving the toilet seat up
and knowing the exact horse sculpture I would love every Christmas. Thank you for making jokes about
my 'forgetfulness' and not taking it so seriously. Thank you for taking such good care
of our kids and paying SO much attention too them that you know exactly what
they need just about every time. Thank you for being
so patient, even when I know it takes a few deep
breaths. Thank you for telling me you
Love me.

Happy Anniversary!!!

KAELA'S BIRTHDAY

I don't ever post because I really do have other more pressing things to do.
I have enough health issues in my house that The American Medical Association could write a Medical Journal on us followed by an encyclopedia followed by a new class held in Universities across the Country for aspiring Doctors.
For me, this life is comforting and well...mine.
I feel useful, loved, busy, happy, wanted and needed everyday.
And I have been blessed with countless opportunities this past year and a half to show my family just how much I LOVE, and need them.
But I have been sort of envying those who I see are able to post everyday, and have really witty things to say. I do not have witty things to say and find that I am not able to give to others, outside of my family, as much as I probably should and would like.
And so I post a montage of the giving I did do for my little Kaela Faye. (It will most likely be the last post I do for another 3 months) Kaela turned 6 today!! I love this girl more than I could ever put into words. She is sassy, FUNNY, eager to learn and to grow and to be loved and to prove herself. She is SO LOVING and tries SO hard everyday to make her daddy and I happy. I am happy every morning that I get to see her smiling face. I love the outfits that she picks for herself and pray every night that I do right by her. She deserves the world.

And so Pictures....

Its a masterpiece. I should go into business.

“Anyone who imagines that bliss is normal is going to waste a lot of time running around shouting that he’s been robbed. The fact is that most putts don’t drop, most beef is tough, most children grow up to just be people, most successful marriages require a high degree of mutual toleration, most jobs are more often dull than otherwise. Life is like an old time rail journey…delays…sidetracks, smoke, dust, cinders and jolts, interspersed only occasionally by beautiful vistas and thrilling burst of speed. The trick is to thank the Lord for letting you have the ride.”

I love this Quote

“If you have ever felt like life has cheated you, stand up with me,”.

“If you have ever felt disappointed in life, stand with me.

"If you have ever received a call that changed your life forever, brought you to your knees and took your breath away, look around, we are all in this together, we need each other, we all have a story.”

Asshole Nannies

The nanny state is going after moms.

Mayor Bloomberg is pushing hospitals to hide their baby formula behind locked doors so more new mothers will breast-feed.

Starting Sept. 3, the city will keep tabs on the number of bottles that participating hospitals stock and use — the most restrictive pro-breast-milk program in the nation.

Under the city Health Department’s voluntary Latch On NYC initiative, 27 of the city’s 40 hospitals have also agreed to give up swag bags sporting formula-company logos, toss out formula-branded tchotchkes like lanyards and mugs, and document a medical reason for every bottle that a newborn receives.

While breast-feeding activists applaud the move, bottle-feeding moms are bristling at the latest lactation lecture.

“If they put pressure on me, I would get annoyed,” said Lynn Sidnam, a Staten Island mother of two formula-fed girls, ages 4 months and 9 years. “It’s for me to choose.”

Under Latch On NYC, new mothers who want formula won’t be denied it, but hospitals will keep infant formula in out-of-the-way secure storerooms or in locked boxes like those used to dispense and track medications.

With each bottle a mother requests and receives, she’ll also get a talking-to. Staffers will explain why she should offer the breast instead.

“It’s the patient’s choice,” said Allison Walsh, of Beth Israel Medical Center. “But it’s our job to educate them on the best option.”

I read this story on FoxNews today and just about threw a fist through my computer!

Is nursing best? Absolutely.

Is it every woman's choice to not nurse, and then NOT get a 'talking to' because of it? ABSOLUTELY!

WOW!

I am SO completely blown away by the fact that anyone thinks that they even remotely have the right to even think this let alone actually implement it. Morons...this Country is going the way of the Moron!

The End....

MORONS!
